Barbara Brady

Hi. I'm Barbara Brady. I'm sixty two years old, and I'm a school teacher. I teach second grade, and I am just less than a year away from retirement. I'm gonna retire at the end of this school year. I started Warrior Babes because I was out of shape. I was overweight.

I have tried different things and always ended up putting the weight back on probably like most of you.

I found Warrior Babes on Facebook. It intrigued me, when I saw all these women who looked fabulous, who were being successful in losing the weight. And then when I started watching the videos and getting information, it sounded just like common sense. Things that I needed to do for myself.

How to eat right, how to take care of my body, and something that would last forever. Something that could be long lasting that I could stick with. So I made that phone call, and next thing I know, I signed up with Warrior Babes. I'm so glad that I did.

I signed up early September. And since that time, I have lost a little September, and since that time, I have lost a little over ten pounds, and I'm not in the weight loss phase yet. I'm so excited about that. Not only that, I've already lost a couple inches on my waist and my hips, which makes me feel better, makes me look better.

When I started this program, I didn't like the way that I looked. I didn't like the way that I felt. I had no fitness routine. Being a teacher, you're on the go all the time, and when I got home, I was so tired.

In addition to that, just this time of of life for my me and my family, I'm here working in one state, but my family's living in another until I retire and I can join them. So I would come home from work. I'd be tired. It's just me.

So I would go through a drive through and get fast food, and then I'd come home and I'd sit on my couch and watch TV. I had no energy and no interest in doing any kind of exercise at all. If I did cook dinner at home, then before too long, I would know, gosh, I have a sweet tooth, and I want some brownies. I'd go in the kitchen and make them because I'm by myself.

I'm the one that would eat them all. So something had to happen. Something had to change. So when I joined Warrior Babes and I was talking with my coach and she's listening to what I did, she's like, gosh, I think you're undereating.

I thought she was crazy, but she was right. And so since this program, I have increased my calories, but with the right kind of fuel, I've been doing my exercises that she's given me to do. I've been getting more sleep. I have felt less stressed. All the things that play into our weight gain that make it hard for us to lose and to sustain that loss, I'm starting to see the results of that.

When I started and talked with my coach, I told her that one of the things that was really a a problem for me was that I had a lot of aches and pains. And one of them was with my sciatica. It was really interfering in my quality of life. I had difficulty being on my feet for very long or for walking for very long.

And a great testimonial for me was last year at this school, we did a, turkey trot right before Thanksgiving. We were out there for thirty minutes. I couldn't do it. My hips hurt too much.

After a few minutes, I had to stop. This year, I did it the whole day, the whole time. It was so exciting to see that and realize that, wait, it wasn't bothering me. The other thing that I told my coach when I first started this program is that I would love to get off the pain medication that I'm on.

Already, in just the first three months of it since I've started Warrior Babes, I'm not taking it every day. There are still days when I need it, but most days I don't. And I really have every hope that by the end of this first year that I won't need it at all. I'm really excited about that.

I know that sticking with it and listening to my coach is gonna get me the results that I want, and I know that I can sustain that for the rest of my life. I know that you can too. So I can't wait. I have still nine months to go.

I can't wait to see where I am at this time next year. Thanks, Warrior Babes.

See you later.
