In this video

Ines is 42 and the Chief of Staff of a media company. Before WarriorBabe, she worked with nutritionists who told her what to eat and when. She would get results, but within about a month of finishing, the weight came back. She later realized why: they taught her how to cut, but never how to maintain. They also kept her in a big deficit, around 1,100 calories a day, which she knew she couldn't live on for the rest of her life.

She found WarriorBabe through an Instagram ad and wanted to learn how Nikkiey Stott did it on her own, so she could do it herself for good. After more than five years of CrossFit, she moved to a regular gym and followed the programmed WarriorBabe workouts. Three months in, she is down a couple of dress sizes, eating more food than she can believe, and still losing weight consistently.

If you've lost weight before and watched it come back, her story is about learning a way of eating you can keep. She also credits the Facebook group and live Q&As for accountability, and encourages you to get involved, because you get more out of it the more involved you are.

Key takeaways

  • Ines found her weight kept returning after nutritionist programs because she was taught how to cut but never how to maintain.
  • Living on around 1,100 calories a day was never going to be feasible for her long term, so she looked for an approach she could keep forever.

  • After more than five years of CrossFit left her exhausted, she switched to a regular gym and followed WarriorBabe's programmed weekly workouts.
  • Three months in, she is down a couple of dress sizes while eating more food than before and still losing weight consistently.
  • She says she now ends her days fully satisfied instead of starving and wondering what she's allowed to eat.
  • Her advice is to get involved in the Facebook group and Q&As, even if you can only jump on early, because you get more out of it the more involved you are.

Full transcript

Ines: Hi, my name is Ines. I am 42 years old and I'm Chief of Staff of a media company.

Prior to WarriorBabe, I was working with nutritionists, so they were always telling me what to do and when to do it. After our relationships would end, because I would get the results that I wanted, I would end up being okay for about a month and then the pounds kept coming on, and I never understood why. And I realized after, the why is they taught me how to cut, but they never taught me how to maintain and how to live forever.

They always had me in a major deficit too, which I knew wasn't the best way for me, especially with the way I'm built, but I just went along with it because they know better than I. So I realized this was not the right approach. I didn't want to work with someone who was just going to make me eat 1,100 calories a day, let's say, for the rest of my life, because that's not even remotely feasible.

So I stumbled upon WarriorBabe via an Instagram ad, and I started looking into it and what it was about, as well as Nikkiey, and I was like, wow, this is amazing. She did this all on her own and I want to learn. I want to know all the tricks and tips that she knows, because this is going to be me forever. I need to do this forever.

So I purchased the product, and I dove straight into the modules and absolutely loved it. I loved what she was telling us. I loved the positive energy. I loved knowing that she was also telling us how to work out. I did CrossFit for over five years and just got exhausted from it. I just didn't want to do it anymore. I wanted to go back to a regular gym and go back to doing regular workouts. So I broke up with CrossFit and ended up joining a regular gym, and her workouts have been awesome. She tells you what to do. It's very programmed out as to how your week should be.

So it's been super easy to follow. And the eating: I can't believe how much food I'm eating and I'm still losing weight consistently. It's been three months now and I am down a couple of dress sizes, and it's just been amazing. I feel great. I feel that I look great, and I'm looking forward to the rest of my journey. I know I still have a decent way to go, but I can see the end, and I see the end being I can eat a lot of food forever, and this is absolutely amazing.

So I'm definitely looking forward to being where I want to be and not living on 1,100-calorie days. Even now, I'm eating so much food and I'm still losing weight. I am blown away at how much it's fixed and changed my metabolism, so that I can have an enjoyable meal without suffering: now what am I going to eat? I'm starving, and I can't because I'm trying to cut. That's never been the case for me. I'm always fully satisfied. As the day's over, I'm like, I'm stuffed, and then I weigh myself the next day and I've lost weight. It's amazing.

So I am looking forward to getting to the exact place that I want to be, and I know that you will too. I highly recommend this program if you want to learn how to do it and do it on your own. This is the best way for you to do it. You need to learn how to do this.

With that said, the accountability is amazing too. I jump in the Facebook group, I read what everyone else is doing, and it's exciting and it's awesome, and everyone has been super helpful. Whenever I've posted, everyone's jumped in and helped me and guided me as to what I should do, Nikkiey included, which has been amazing. I definitely recommend using them. They are all there to help you. We all want to help each other.

Also jump on the Q&As. Even if you don't have the time, jump on early and raise your hand. If you aren't able to stay on the whole time, Nikkiey gets to you, and she gets to you pretty quickly. So definitely be involved. You will get more out of this the more involved you are with the group and with the team, and Nikkiey wants to help you and wants to teach you how to do this. So it's absolutely amazing, and I wish you the best with this.
