If dinner is where your nutrition falls apart, this video gives you five real meals Nikkiey Stott rotates herself, each with its full macro breakdown: garlic herb chicken with roasted potatoes and green beans, salmon with creamy dill sauce, a shredded chicken taco bowl, a ground turkey marinara bowl with zucchini noodles and pasta, and a steakhouse sirloin with mashed potatoes and green beans. Each one lands between 520 and 620 calories with 35 to 45 grams of protein.
She walks through how she builds every plate: protein goes on first, the meat is weighed in ounces, and the exact weight goes into MyFitnessPal so she is logging what she actually eats instead of guessing. Once a meal has been logged a few times, features like frequently paired foods make tracking a quick habit rather than a chore.
The bigger point is that these meals taste good, take minutes, and get repeated. Nikkiey explains that results come from repeating what works, not reinventing your plate every night. She also notes that her numbers are not your numbers: you need macros set for your body, age, activity level and goals, and those will change as you move through perimenopause and menopause.
Key takeaways
- Put protein on the plate first and build the rest of the meal around it.
- Weigh meat in ounces on a food scale, since ounces are more precise for meat, and enter that exact weight in MyFitnessPal.
- Scan the barcode on the package or search the MyFitnessPal database, then set the serving size to ounces before entering the weight.
- Use MyFitnessPal's frequently paired foods feature so meals you log often show up automatically and tracking becomes quick.
- Swap the typical broccoli and rice for roasted potatoes and green beans to keep meals enjoyable while still hitting your targets.
- Mix zucchini noodles with real pasta so the plate feels big and comforting while keeping carbs controlled.
- About 5.3 ounces of lean ground turkey lands Nikkiey in the 40 to 42 gram protein range.
- Choose meals that taste good and repeat them, because if your food doesn't taste good you won't stick with it long term.
Questions answered
How do I log meat accurately in MyFitnessPal?
Nikkiey weighs the cooked meat in ounces on a food scale, then scans the package barcode or searches the MyFitnessPal database. She sets the serving size to ounces and enters the exact weight from the scale so she isn't estimating.
Is it okay to eat a higher-fat dinner when trying to lose fat after 40?
Nikkiey says the kind of fat in her salmon and dill sauce dinner is exactly what your body needs as your hormones shift. In her view it supports balance, keeps you satisfied and helps prevent overeating later on.
How much ground turkey do I need for 40 grams of protein?
Nikkiey weighs about 5.3 ounces of lean ground turkey, which lands her right around the 40 to 42 gram protein range.
Do I need to eat different meals every night to get results?
No. Nikkiey has eaten some version of her sirloin dinner for years and says results come from repeating what works, not reinventing your plate every single night.
Can I just copy Nikkiey's dinner macros?
She says these meals only work if you know your own macro numbers, because what works for her body won't be what you need for your body, age, activity level and goals. The macros you start with will also change as your body changes.

Macros & Macro Tracking
Can I just copy someone else's macros or meal plan?
No. Nikkiey explains that another woman's macros or meal plan were built for her metabolism, muscle mass, hormones, activity level, stress, sleep and history, not yours. You need your own numbers, based on your age, weight, muscle mass, activity level and goals, and those numbers should be adjusted as your body changes.

Macros & Macro Tracking
Should I weigh meat raw or cooked when tracking macros?
On The WarriorBabe Show, Nikkiey weighs her meat after it's cooked. She cooks the chicken, puts it on a food scale in ounces, then logs that exact weight in MyFitnessPal. The point is to log exactly what you're eating instead of guessing. The episodes don't compare raw and cooked weights directly.

Meal Prep & Workout Nutrition
Is it okay to eat the same meals every day to lose fat?
Yes. Nikkiey says eating the same meals every day is one of the most effective ways to lose fat. It makes your macros easier to hit, keeps calories consistent, and helps steady digestion and hunger. Fat loss and body recomposition thrive on consistency. Keep the base the same and make small swaps when you want variety.

Nikkiey: If you're over 40 and you're not correctly eating your macros daily, and dinner is where your nutrition completely falls apart, then this video is exactly for you. Because I'm making five of my actual go-to dinners in under five minutes each and logging every one so that you can see exactly how I hit my macros daily. These are the same meals that I rotate as a pro natural bodybuilder who's coached over 21,000 women through menopause, from crash energy and stubborn belly fat to actually feeling like themselves again.
So let's get into all these five dinners that I have for you. And I need you to stick around for dinner number five, because this one feels like something that you would order at a restaurant, but it still hits every single macro target.
Dinner number one: garlic herb chicken and veggie medley. This is 550 calories, 38 grams of protein, 42 grams of carbs and 24 grams of fat. Garlic herb chicken is my go-to dinner when I've been in meetings all day long, because of how much protein it packs without me having to think about it.
Some of you might be asking, what makes this dinner so hormone supportive? It's because of the balance across the entire plate. The protein supports muscle repair, as I've mentioned, and maintenance, which becomes more important as we age. Then the fat is going to help that hormone production, and the carbs are going to replenish energy and support recovery that you may have been depleted from during your day.
I used roasted potatoes and green beans instead of the typical broccoli and rice because it keeps meals enjoyable and realistic. Potatoes are satisfying, they digest well, and they don't feel like a diet food. And then green beans add fiber and volume. It's a simple switch that keeps the meal interesting while still hitting all of your macro targets.
And this is how fast it all comes together. When I prep this meal, protein goes on the plate first every single time. I cook the chicken, I weigh it out, and then I build the rest of the meal around that. I weigh the chicken in ounces because ounces are way more precise when it comes to meat. Then I scan the food into MyFitnessPal and enter the exact weight that I'm seeing on the scale. That way I know I'm logging exactly what I'm eating and I'm not guessing.
The frequently paired foods feature saves so much time, because once you log these meals a few times, they show up automatically. It turns tracking into a very quick habit instead of something that feels like a chore.
Now, dinner two is where things get pretty interesting, because I'm about to show you why eating more fat is exactly what your body needs. It sounds very counterintuitive, but let me show you.
Dinner number two: salmon with creamy dill sauce. This is 600 calories, 35 grams of protein, 20 grams of carbs and 38 grams of fat. This dinner is my higher-fat option for when I want a meal that actually feels like a reward. To women who are afraid to eat this much fat, I hear you and I see you, but I want to say this to you. This kind of fat is exactly what your body needs, especially as your hormones shift. It's going to support balance, keep you satisfied, and help prevent overeating later on.
So walking you through the salmon prep and the dill sauce, this is honestly one of the fastest dinners that I can make. I season the salmon with simple staples that I always have on hand. I throw it in the pan or in the air fryer and it's done in just a few minutes. While that's cooking, I mix the dill sauce. It's literally just a few ingredients stirred together. The whole process is quick, simple, and doesn't require a ton of thought, which is exactly why it stays in my rotation. This is a real-life dinner, not something complicated that takes 45 minutes where you're looking at a ton of different recipes to follow.
Now I'm weighing the salmon in ounces on the food scale so that I can log the exact amount into MyFitnessPal. I'm either going to scan the barcode in MyFitnessPal from the salmon package, or I'm going to look in MyFitnessPal's database, find salmon, and then enter the weight in ounces so that the macros will calculate precisely.
This dinner is meant to help me hit that fat target for the day in a very structured way. It feels very satisfying, it helps me wind down, and it keeps me from wanting to snack later because it's actually filling me up.
Dinner number three is a shredded chicken taco bowl. This is 560 calories, 40 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbs and 22 grams of fat. This meal feels like a normal comfort meal that would typically set one back, and that's exactly why it's amazing and why it works. If your meals don't taste good, you're never going to stick with them long term. That's why every dinner on this list is designed to make you forget that you're eating for your macros.
When I build this taco bowl, protein always goes first. I start with the shredded chicken as the base, because that's what's going to drive me toward that 40 grams of protein target. Then I layer in the rice, the toppings and the fats all around it.
How I hit 40 grams of protein with shredded chicken is by weighing it out in ounces on the scale. It usually lands somewhere around the amount that gives me that 40 gram range, and I adjust slightly if needed. Once it's weighed, I open MyFitnessPal, I log the shredded chicken, I adjust the serving size, making sure it's in ounces, and I enter the exact number. Then I log the rice, the toppings and anything else in that bowl so that I can see the full macro breakdown come together.

For instance, take a look at Robin, a busy design professional over 50 who followed this exact plan. She didn't cut carbs. She didn't spend hours inside the gym. She just followed a simple, balanced eating routine that fit into her daily life. And she went from eating just 1,100 calories to properly fueling her body, gained more energy than she had in years, and became so confident that she bought a bikini at 61. That's the power of giving your body what it actually needs: not starving it, not punishing it, but fueling it the right way. Now, dinner number four is one that I reach for when I want volume and protein without feeling heavy, and it takes less time than anything that you've seen so far.
Dinner number four: ground turkey marinara bowl. This has 520 calories, 42 grams of protein, 35 grams of carbs and 18 grams of fat. What makes this specific combo easier to digest than a heavier spaghetti dinner is the balance of these macros: the lean protein, the moderate carbs, and then the lighter volume from the zucchini noodles. You still get that full, comforting plate, but without the heaviness that usually comes from a big pasta meal.
The reason I use a mix of zucchini noodles and real pasta instead of just one or the other is because it gives you the best of both worlds. The noodles add volume so the plate looks and feels big, and the real pasta gives you that comfort and satisfaction so it doesn't feel like you're missing out. It keeps carbs controlled without making the meal feel restrictive.
Now, I'm weighing the ground turkey in ounces on the scale, with about 5.3 ounces of lean ground turkey. I'm landing right around that 40 to 42 gram protein range, which is exactly what makes this such a protein-focused dinner without needing anything complicated. I open MyFitnessPal, and I'll usually scan the back of the turkey packet, then adjust the serving size, making sure it's in ounces, and I enter that exact weight from the scale into MyFitnessPal. That way I'm logging precisely instead of just estimating. Once it's in, I log the pasta, the noodles and the sauce. And once this meal is in your database, again, it becomes incredibly fast and easy to log moving forward.
Dinner number five is a steakhouse sirloin. This is about 620 calories, 45 grams of protein, 40 grams of carbs and 28 grams of fat. This is personally my absolute favorite, because it feels super indulgent, like something that you'd order at a restaurant and not even think twice about. The steak, mashed potatoes and green beans have about 45 grams of protein combined, and every number is exactly where it needs to be.
I've eaten some version of this dinner for years, and that right there is the proof that results come from repeating what works, not reinventing your plate every single night.
Now, walking you through seasoning and cooking the sirloin, this is honestly one of the simplest dinners to make. I keep the seasoning basic: salt, pepper, maybe garlic. I throw it in a hot pan and it cooks in just a few minutes per side, depending on the thickness. The whole process is very quick, it's straightforward, and it's realistic for a weeknight.
Now I'm weighing the sirloin in ounces on the scale so that I can log that exact amount inside MyFitnessPal. I'm going to open up the app, make sure the serving size is in ounces, and enter that precise weight. Once it's logged, you're going to be able to see the macro breakdown come together on screen: strong protein, balanced fats, paired with the right carbs from the potatoes. It lands right where I need it to be with those macro numbers.
I keep coming back to this meal because it never feels like I'm dieting. It feels like a restaurant-style dinner. It's satisfying, it's familiar, and I know that it supports my goals. When something tastes good, it's easy to make and it consistently works, there's no reason to switch it up.
Alright, you just watched me put together five dinners with the exact macro breakdown that supports muscle building, fat loss and hormone balance after 40. But remember, these meals only work if you know your specific macro numbers, because what works for my body won't be the same as what you need for your body, your age, your activity level and your goals.
So if you are ready to stop guessing, stop searching all over the internet, and start seeing actual results with the same approach that helped me maintain my physique after competing professionally and has helped over 21,000 women, then click the link below to work with us directly at WarriorBabe. Inside, you're going to understand how to adjust your macros as your body changes through perimenopause and menopause, or even as it changes through the results that you're getting. The macros you start with are not going to be the macros you end with. So let's get your dinner dialed in with that link below.
