Hi. My name is Adeline, and I am forty nine, and I am a warrior babe. I have been a warrior babe and working with my coach since March of this year, March twenty twenty four, and what a journey it's been. It's incredible.
It has absolutely totally transformed my life, my confidence. I've got my life back. And, happy to say that I'll be stepping into my fifties with a whole different, enthusiasm than I, I stepped into this year. So just to kind of bring you back a little bit to where I was and kinda what led me to being here.
I mean, I've been an athlete my whole life. I've been a runner, bit of a cardio bunny, loved to run, never struggled with weight. Never. Never had weight on.
I mean, never had weight as a child.
Through pregnancies, I, you know, I gained the normal amount. Actually, with my daughter, I gained a lot. I so I had three pregnancies, bounced back pretty quick afterwards.
And, yeah, never has never was an issue. So, you know, crossed into forty and a lot of people were saying, oh, once you cross forty, that'll be it. I said, no. I was fine. Forty one, forty two. So about forty three, I noticed a lot of changes.
Kind of my body fell out of love at running, I'm going to say. And, yeah just life felt a bit different and my body felt different and I just started to slowly gain a few pounds. It was nothing major, it wasn't stressing me out because I thought okay I'll just I'll deal with that, it's not a big deal.
And I had a late miscarriage, and I gained actually, I gained quite a bit of weight with that. So that was, you know, obviously upsetting at the time as well because even though it was a surprise, we had, you know, more than embraced the idea of it and were excited.
Yeah. And then that weight that I put on with that just didn't budge. And I've tried different things. I got a personal trainer.
I was kind of starting to, you know, starting to restrict, you know, kind of like intermittent fasting and all these different things. And nothing was working. Like, nothing I was trying was making any difference because I was so used to in the past just, you know, I just did what I did and I, you know, if I had weight on, it just came off after pregnancy, and I never had to think about it outside of that because I was always so active. And it was really starting to chip away at me a little bit.
But, anyway, fast forward, it came to the madness that was twenty twenty, and I was forty five at this stage. And while a lot of people seem to get into the best shape of their lives during COVID and lockdowns, I went the opposite direction. I love my glasses of wine. I have to say that has been my Achilles heel over the last few years is my wine and my cheese because that really, you know, I just seem to be consuming it a little bit more than I would have liked, and it became kinda like a comfort and just my little kind of go to.
And, yeah, so by the time it came to the end of twenty twenty three, I had about twenty five extra twenty five close on thirty extra pounds that I was not happy with. I was feeling really crap. I went on a short I'm self employed, and I went on a short trip.
Kind of half business, half pleasure. I had to speak on stage in Grand Canary, incredible event, and I went out there feeling like crap. My clothes didn't fit properly. I felt bloated.
And then I seen the pictures afterwards and the videos of me on stage, and I was like, oh my god. Who is that person? It didn't recognize me. I was like, who is that?
And it really, really upset me.
And I thought I have to do something because it doesn't matter how good I've been up until this point. I've always been a healthy eater and always been active and always been athletic, and it was like nothing nothing worked anymore. And I was like, you know, I was starting to not show up in photographs. I was barely looking in the mirror.
You know, my husband was great, always telling me how beautiful I was, and he loved me and everything else. And that didn't matter because I felt like crap. It just didn't matter.
I'm really starting to avoid life. I was avoiding social gatherings. I was avoiding you know, unless I had to be there. Shopping.
I've actually given up on shopping. I was down to one pair of jeans, so I was refusing to buy a bigger size. Anyway, fast forward, I said, okay. I turned forty nine in March.
I thought I am not bringing this into my fifties because if I don't change the direction that I'm going on now, I'm gonna be getting just fatter and weaker as I as I as I get older. So, anyway, so grateful to worry about it. Now seven months in, my confidence is back. I'm down nine pounds.
My body composition has completely changed. There's tone. There's lift. There's all these things I haven't seen in a really long time.
And the biggest part is the confidence. The transformation has actually happened even before I've got to the final destination. Because I see this is a long game. So I know that I'm gonna rock up to be my fiftieth birthday next March, you know, with definition, with tone, with and the most important thing, I'm gonna feel good.
And I am confident, and I am feeling good, and I am confident right now. So thank you, Warrior Babe, for basically giving me my life back.
