In this video
A refeed day is not a free-for-all. It is a planned higher-calorie day. In this video Nikkiey Stott walks you through every meal of hers: 2,800 calories, built around her training and a busy day out of the house.
She starts with her greens and reds before breakfast, then has an everything bagel with egg whites and a whole egg, and shares the macros for that meal. Before a back and biceps workout she has chocolate peanut butter Cheerios with half a scoop of protein in almond milk. After training she has a shake with a scoop of protein and a scoop of carbs to start recovery.
The rest of the day shows how planning keeps you on track. She cooks ground turkey and packs a tortilla, rice, hot sauce and popcorn to take to her brother's football game. Then she finishes with a takeout burger, homemade sweet potato fries and an ice cream dessert. Her point is simple: food is fuel, and you can enjoy it while still knowing exactly what you are eating.

Metabolism, Eating More & Reverse Dieting
What is a refeed day?
A refeed day is a planned, temporary increase in calories, mostly from extra carbs and fats, that you still track before going right back into your deficit. Nikkiey uses refeeds to relieve the stress of dieting and support your metabolism. It's a strategy, not permission to eat whatever you want.

Nikkiey: What's up, you guys? Nikkiey here, and today I'm going to be taking you on my full day of eating. Today is actually a refeed day for me. What that's going to look like is 2,800 calories are going to be eaten, and I'm going to share every single meal with you guys. Make sure to stay until the end of this video, because that's when the big meal is going down. While I'm making breakfast, I'll put my greens together and my reds, shake them up and down them before I have my first meal. These are the reds and the greens I'm currently using. They are amazing. They're super helpful with digestion, energy and lowering inflammation, and I highly recommend them.
All right, you guys, here is meal number one: breakfast. I've got an everything bagel, 130 grams of egg whites and one full egg. I'm going to dab some ketchup on top. This entire meal consists of 63 grams of carbohydrates, 3.5 grams of fat and 23 grams of protein. Let's chow down. Oh, the egg yolk just crashed. Mmm.
All right, you guys, here we are, meal number two. This is going to be my pre-workout meal. This meal consists of chocolate peanut butter Cheerios, a cup and a half. I've got a half scoop of protein powder, and I'm mixing that protein powder with almond milk and just a little bit of water.
All right, you guys, I just got done crushing a back and biceps workout. Felt freaking phenomenal. Now I'm smashing my post-workout shake. This is technically considered meal number three: one scoop of protein and one scoop of carbohydrates to get immediately to my muscles and start the recovery process.
All right, you guys, here we are, cooking up some ground turkey. I just got back from the gym, and I decided that I'm going to go see my little brother's football game. So this means I need to prepare the meal that I'm going to bring with me. Plan ahead, prepare yourself. That's how you stay on track and have success. So I'm cooking up my ground turkey right now. I'm going to put my meal together and bring it all with me.
At my brother's football game, meal number four. Dadio's right there. We've got a tortilla, ground turkey, some rice, some hot sauce, and popcorn in my bag.
Guest: I don't like portions. I like gluttony.
Nikkiey: Say it again? He said that you have to have the entire bag. Hey, hey, you messed up my macros.
All right, you guys, the last meal of my day. The order has been placed. I have to go pick it up. It's literally one of the staples that I always, always go for. It's the Brewski burger from Iron Hill Brewery with a side of sweet potato fries, because their sweet potato fries are homemade. And oh my god, they are amazing. So the order's been placed. Got to go pick it up. I cannot wait to chow down. I can feel my mouth drooling just thinking about this burger and these sweet potato fries. And then dessert is up after that.
The target has been acquired. Yes. And these sweet potato fries, guys, just look at these. They make them in house. Oh, so good. Come to mama. Ah, yes.
I'm here at Maggie Moo's about to go get my dessert. I am so freaking excited. If you guys don't know what Maggie Moo's is, it's an ice cream parlor. What I get here all the time is the Cotton Candy Ski Jump, which is cotton candy ice cream with M&Ms and marshmallows. I cannot wait.
All right, you guys, that's a wrap. I feel so freaking good. So freaking satisfied. Food is fuel, and it just makes me feel amazing. I freaking love to eat.
