In this live Q&A, Nikkiey Stott answers WarriorBabe members' questions and sets expectations for new members. Changing your body composition is not a two-week project. Nikkiey asks you to accept now that it can take six months, a year, 16 months or two years. Once you do, the process gets easier and more enjoyable. You don't have to be perfect, but you do have to be consistent and keep showing up, including on the days you don't want to.
She works through real problems members raised. One member is ravenous and her workouts are slipping after seven weeks. Nikkiey tells her to use her cheat meals first, then raise her protein, using a ballpark of body weight times 0.8 to 1.2. Another member's last bit of belly fat won't move. Nikkiey explains that a small tweak to carbs or fats can restart progress after months on the same macros. She also says belly fat is often simply the last to go.
She also covers how to use the app's meal plans as a template and adjust portion sizes to fit your numbers. She explains why she won't recommend fat burners and points members to the at-home workout programs for bodyweight, dumbbell and band training. Her message throughout is to do the work, use the resources you already have, and give yourself grace while you learn.
Key takeaways
- Accept that changing your body composition can take six months to two years, because expecting visible change every two to six weeks makes the journey harder.
- You don't have to be perfect, but you do have to be consistent and show up for yourself even when you don't want to.
- If you're constantly hungry and your workouts are suffering, first make sure you're actually using your cheat meals, since skipping them means missing a large amount of weekly calories.
- If you're already using your cheat meals, raise your protein; Nikkiey's ballpark is body weight times 0.8 to 1.2, because protein supports recovery and keeps you fuller longer.
- If you've kept the same macros for months and progress stalls, a small adjustment to carbs or fats can get you moving again, and if your measurements are still changing, your macros are still working.
- Stubborn belly fat may just be the last to go, since everyone carries fat differently, so keep working on body composition and accept your body.
- Treat the app's meal plans as a generic template and adjust quantities, such as half a cup of oatmeal down to a quarter cup, to land within plus or minus five of your macros.
- Skip fat burners, because Nikkiey says the best fat burner is doing your workouts and cardio consistently week after week.
Questions answered
What should I do if I'm always hungry and my workouts are getting worse while tracking macros?
Nikkiey says to first make sure you're using your cheat meals, because skipping them means missing a lot of calories each week. If you already are, raise your protein, using a ballpark of body weight times 0.8 to 1.2. Protein helps with recovery and keeps you fuller longer.
Should I drop carbs if my last bit of belly fat isn't budging?
If you haven't adjusted your macros in months, Nikkiey says a small tweak to carbs or fats can get you moving again. She also says belly fat may simply be the last to go, because everyone carries stubborn fat in different places.
Does Nikkiey Stott recommend fat burner supplements?
No. She says your best fat burner is doing the workouts and cardio consistently, week after week. She won't recommend a supplement unless it's free of chemicals and ingredients you can't pronounce.
How long does it take to change your body composition?
Nikkiey says it can take six months, eight months, 12 months, 16 months or two years. She says muscle builds slowly, so it won't happen overnight or in two weeks.
Do the WarriorBabe meal plans match my exact macros?
No. The meal plans are a generic overview of macros for your body type. Nikkiey says to use them as a starting point and adjust the quantities to get within plus or minus five of your numbers.
Are there WarriorBabe workouts I can do at home without gym equipment?
Yes. Nikkiey created six-week at-home programs for bodyweight, one dumbbell and bands. You can choose the one that matches the equipment you have.

Nikkiey: What's up, WarriorBabe? Hey, everybody. Nikkiey here, and welcome to our WarriorBabe Wednesday live Q&A time together. I am super excited to be here with you guys, hang out for a little bit and answer some questions you have about your journey. Make sure you use this Q&A to get any clarification you need for your journey. That's why I am here, okay?
There's no silly or stupid question. There's no right or wrong question. Never assume that you have the answer to your question. Otherwise you start creating a story inside your head and believing it's true, and then three months later you find out that was the wrong thing to be doing. So make sure you use this Q&A to get any clarification you need from me about your journey moving forward. That's what this Q&A is all about. I am super stoked to be here with you guys for the next half hour, 45 minutes, answering the questions you have, all right?
As you join in, comment and say what's up so I can see who's here. And remember, the more you hit the like button and comment, the more it pushes our video up in the Facebook group. That way all the other WarriorBabes can see that we're live and join in on this Q&A. So comment, say what's up, and smash the like button for me right now so the other women in our community can see that this is live, okay?
If you're tuning in later, after this Q&A has been live, use the hashtag replay. Leave any questions about this Q&A in the thread area beneath where you're commenting. Kate will come back and answer any questions that were left after this was done live, okay?
What's up, everyone? Oh, I like the hashtag live. Thanks, Danielle. What's up, Valerie? What's up, Angela? Hey, Christy. Hey, Kimberly. Emily, hey, long time no see and talk. Yeah, for real, babe, what's up? I'm glad to see you're back. I saw the post inside the community. Let's go. Awesome. I'm super familiar with a lot of your names. That's why I love coming on these Q&As and asking you to say what's up. I can see a number count of who's here, but I can't see who's actually here by name. So I love being able to see who's here, because I recognize a lot of your names. What's up, Tanya? All right, cool. So welcome, you guys. I'm stoked that you're here. If you have a question, we can fire off this Q&A.
I'm sorry, my voice is a little off. I've been talking all day, because I was filming a lot of content earlier, so my voice is starting to go. Bear with me here. I'll do my best. If you have any questions, definitely start commenting them, because there's a little bit of lag time between Zoom and Facebook. Once I'm done with my opening and welcoming you in here and I see the questions coming in, I'll start firing off the Q&A. All right.
First of all, before we dive into this Q&A, welcome to all of the new babes. At the team meeting the other day, my team showed me numbers from inside our community. Our community was on fire last week, which is lit, to use my terminology. Our numbers were through the roof. We were past the thousands in engagement, comments, likes and all of that kind of stuff.
That's awesome to see, because it means we have a super healthy community. You guys are awesome. And welcome to all the new babes who have joined us in this past week. You're part of a community of thousands of women who are getting toned and becoming a stronger, more confident version of themselves. You're on a journey here. What's really cool is you'll see the veteran babes who have been in this for a while. A lot of the babes were sharing their one-year posts last week, and that made me jump on my IG and be like, guys, listen.
I got real, real honest on my IG, and I'll say it here too. I've said it before. The moment you accept that your journey could take six months, eight months, 12 months, 16 months or two years is the day this journey becomes so much easier. It becomes so much more fun for you than going two weeks, no progress, four weeks, no progress, six weeks, no progress. Right. This isn't another quick fix. Okay. You guys are in this. I'm teaching you the real truth of what it takes to build muscle and change your body composition.
That's not going to happen overnight. It's not going to happen in two weeks. If you're lucky, you can build about 0.7 of a pound to one pound of muscle per week, depending on where you are in your life. So two pounds of muscle, put that in perspective for yourself. It's only two pounds. If you need to build a lot of muscle, get realistic with yourself and understand this is a journey. It's going to take you a while to change your body composition. Right. It's not sexy for me to say that.
Nobody wants to hear that. Everyone wants an instant fix, a quick fix. Well, I'm here to be honest and blunt with you guys. It's not going to happen that way. So be real, accept your journey, love your journey. If this is making sense to you right now, if it's firing you up and helping a perspective click in your brain about what to expect on your journey, smash the like button for me, please. I can see it firing. I want to know that you understand what I'm saying. Okay.
Then you can be like the veteran WarriorBabes who have been in it for a year and are posting about a year's work. That can be you if you accept it. Nice, I'm seeing it fire, guys. That can be you. That will be you if you just put your head down and do the work. You don't have to be perfect. Right. But you have to be consistent. Okay. And you have to show up for yourself, even when you don't want to. That will get you to the one-year transformation, the 16-month transformation, the two-year transformation.
I'm six years into my journey now, and at this point it's just a subconscious habit. It's like driving a car or riding a bike. Okay. It's just something I do, and it works into my day. Okay. You guys are maybe just starting, or maybe a year or two years in. Right. To anybody who's new: first of all, it's cool to see that you're new, because you're going to fire up the veteran babes. And the veteran babes are going to fire you up about the results you can have.
But I need you to understand, if you are new, that it's a journey. All right. So accept that now. Then when you're six months in, one year in, you can look in the mirror and see your hard work. You'll be like, holy shit. Wow. I did it. It's working. I guarantee you this system works. You just have to do the work. Okay. It's worked for thousands of women. I've been coaching women for over three years now, and I've changed hundreds of women's bodies. Right. You just have to put in the work. Okay. You have to get past yourself.
You have to get past your limiting beliefs. You have to get past the shit you tried before. I'm going on a rant. Love it. You have to get past your excuses. You have to just show up, just show up. Even if it doesn't make sense to you now, you have the tools and the resources. Just put in the work. Trust me now, believe me later. Okay. So anybody who's new, welcome. I'm super stoked that you're here and part of this community. You guys posting your photos last week fired me up. Seeing the transformations you're creating for yourselves is so freaking awesome.
So a pass-off to the veterans, and welcome to the new babes. I see you guys firing away with some questions, so let's dive into it. All right. Tanya: "How often should I check and adjust my macros?" To be blunt and honest, that one is so hard for me to answer. That's something I do inside my Blueprint program. So if you're inside the Blueprint program, save that question for one of the Q&As. If you want to check out the Blueprint program, go to warriorbabe.com, go to programs, and click on the Blueprint tab.
But to be honest, Tanya, it depends on so many variables, and it's something I just can't cover inside the Revolution because it's so in-depth. A while ago I did a rally call about the factors I take into account to adjust or change your macros. For example, even if your weight stalls, if your measurements are still moving, then the macros are still working. If your energy is low, then maybe you need a little more of one particular macronutrient. There are so many different variables that can come into play.
So it's hard for me to really answer that question. Again, if you want to check out my Blueprint program, that's where I cover it. I give you the exact tools and how to adjust and when to adjust. You have Q&As where you talk directly to me, and I'm able to figure out whether you need an adjustment or just need to keep going. So that's something to check out.
All right. Ann Marie: "Hi Nikkiey. I had to post and run because I teach at 6 PM, but I will come back and listen to your answer on the recording. I asked you about this on a previous Facebook Live, and I'm reaching out again about hunger and stamina. I've been on the program for about seven weeks now, and I'm still struggling. The first time I asked you, you recommended upping my daily carbs by 30 grams, and I did, but I'm still waking up hungry. I'm hungry during the day, like ravenous. My workouts are worse, and I'm losing the muscle I previously gained. Also, my period came two weeks late, which is very abnormal and concerning. I don't want to give up on WarriorBabe, but this wasn't what I was expecting. I hit my macros on point every day. Right now I'm at 195 carbs, 56, 125, and I've cut back working out to four days a week because my body is not keeping up. Thank you for your help. I love you and the program. I just need some guidance." Awesome. Cool, babe.
You'll catch us on the recording. Something I need to stress is that you make sure you're using your cheat meals. Okay. If you're not using your cheat meals, you're missing out on a huge amount of calories every week. Those meals will help on the hungry days and help you come up and feel better. Then you'll use that energy through your workouts and through the next days. And once you get to another point, you'll realize, okay, it's time for another cheat meal. So make sure you're using those cheat meals. If you are already using them, my next recommendation would be to up your protein intake. Get it to around 135, 140, maybe.
A ballpark range for protein is around your body weight times 0.8 to 1.2. Protein is a specific macronutrient that's going to help you recover and build muscle, and it helps with stamina in the gym along with carbohydrates. It's also going to help curb your hunger. Okay. It really fights cravings, and it makes you feel fuller longer. So that would be my next recommendation. Give that a whirl, and make sure you're implementing your cheat meals.
Danielle: "A year and a half, and I feel amazing." I love that. Beth: "Glad for your success. I think a lot of the reason is that you engage with everyone. You take the time to spend with us. You're not just sending a recorded video like others do." Yes. I was just talking about that with my team today. The Revolution group is fire. It's awesome. The rally calls could probably use a few more people calling in. But you know what I said to my team? I'm just going to continue to show up. Even if it's just for half an hour or 45 minutes, I'm showing up for you guys who actually tune in and take this seriously.
You guys are on the other end listening, and you're getting motivation. You're getting support. You're getting inspiration. Maybe something I say just clicks in your brain, and you're like, oh, that makes sense. But maybe it didn't make sense six months earlier. Right? So I will always fucking show up for you guys. Maybe I'll take a week off from doing a call, but I'll be back. Right? I'm always here. I think that's a huge part of your success.
It's me showing up for you guys and being your cheerleader, which I fucking love to do. I love letting you know that your goal is possible. You just have to be on the receiving end to do it. So I love you guys.
Jodi: "New, this is day three for me." Nice, babe. Welcome, Jodi. I am so excited that you're here. You're part of an amazing freaking community. I'll just say what I said at the beginning, and make sure you're going through the WarriorBabe Blast Off videos I put together.
It's one email per day, with one video inside. They're going to help you transition into the WarriorBabe lifestyle. I give you starter tips that will keep you motivated and keep you going, so you know your goal and know your why. Make sure you take those seriously, because I personally think they're a huge progression tool for anybody who's new. You can start a program and just be like, where do I go, what do I do? And then 14 days in, the motivation you had when you first started is gone. So if you carry those videos out and get excited on a daily basis, my program works. It's helped thousands of women. Like I said, I've transformed hundreds of bodies. You just carry those videos out and put in the work. Then by 14 days, you realize it's just about doing it over and over and over again. Macros, workouts, macros, workouts, until it becomes a habit.
And you're doing it just like you would drive a car or ride a bike. I'm not just saying that to you, Jodi. I'm saying it to anybody who's new and hasn't commented, because I know you're on the back end just listening. So be patient, be patient with the start of your journey. Give yourself grace. Take responsibility when you fuck up. Don't blame. Don't judge yourself. Just keep moving. Fail forward. All right. Oh, that's awesome. I love seeing other babes welcoming new babes. So cool. Kim, you rock.
Emily: "You will always be my favorite, hashtag evil genius." Yes. I love it. I love you. Emily, you rock. Christy: "The Blueprint program is totally worth it. I've learned so much." Yes. Anybody who's in the Blueprint program, help the other Revolution babes. Come on up and join us in the Blueprint program. It's way more in-depth, with way more education, way more of the why and the how, and how everything works. Right. Don't get me wrong. The Revolution program is hands down amazing. Emily is a perfect example, from the interview she shared with you guys. She's in the Revolution, not the Blueprint.
There's just more to the Blueprint program. Right. You have more access to me, two times per week, to talk to me and make sure things are going right and you're moving in the right direction. What are some things that may need to be tweaked? Right? Because everybody is so individual. Everybody needs and requires different things. You who's listening: your body, your structure, your balance, your hormones, your minerals, your proteins, if you want to get really deep.
Nobody else has that same makeup. Right. So the Blueprint is way more tailored to you as an individual, and you get to use a coach as a sounding board to help you go in the right direction. The way I look at it, you can get results inside the Revolution, no problem. But in the Blueprint, we can make those results happen faster.
That's because there's more dialogue and verbiage around exactly what you need. So anybody who's in the Blueprint program, speak up.
All right, Beth: "Love the workouts. I'm doing the macros pretty much on point, but my last little bit of belly fat is not budging. Should I drop some carbs? I've been doing macros consistently since March. Should I stay the course longer?" If this were a Blueprint Q&A, I'd want a little more context to fully understand.
But if you haven't adjusted since March and you've been using the same macros since then, absolutely. If you make a little adjustment to carbs or fats, you'll start moving again, right? You'll continue to get the results you want just by tweaking those numbers a little bit. Macros should always be tweaked. That's something I cover in the Blueprint program again. I think you get that by now. But yeah, I would just try tweaking that.
But again, let me just be blunt and honest. The body fat on your belly may be the last to go, just like for some people the body fat in their legs is the last to go. Everybody's different. Everybody carries body fat in different areas, and some areas are more stubborn than others. Your back could take a little longer. Your legs could take a little longer. Your stomach could take a little longer, depending on the kids you had, or if you have a specific structure from having kids. Just accept that, right? Love your body for what it is.
You gave birth. You made a human being, which is freaking incredible. So be okay with that imbalance you have. Love it. You can definitely make it better by working on changing your body composition. You can always make anything better. But if it's something that may not change the way you see it or want it, accept it. All right. And again, like I said, it's different for everybody. So keep that in mind.
Jodi: "Is there a diet plan that matches our macros in the app, or do we just figure this out ourselves? Where are the cheat meals? Are they in the app? I'm new, new, so maybe it's there, but I haven't found it." Yeah, babe. As you go through, you'll see in the menu where I've laid out a cheat meal and how to go about a cheat meal. Inside the Transform section there's also WarriorBabe Basics, with tons of videos that will help you with the starter questions you may have. So a lot of your questions can definitely be answered inside the application.
You can also find answers on the home screen. If you click Need Help, there's an entire FAQ section. Now, for the other thing you asked: our meal plans are a generic overview of the macros for your body type. They're not exact. I wish I could cater the app that much to you exactly, but it's just hard, and our programming isn't at that point yet. So we put in the body types.
We put in macros in a broad range around that. You can use those meal plans and just tweak the quantities. For example, say you have half a cup of oatmeal for carbs, but that puts you over. Just bring it down to a quarter cup. And vice versa: if a tablespoon of fat puts you over, bring it down to half a tablespoon. Always play around with the quantities to get within plus or minus five. If that seems overwhelming, don't let it overwhelm you. Just take it day by day.
Play around in MyFitnessPal, with the distribution of your macros, and with logging and tracking. You're not going to be a genius right off the bat. You're going to fail multiple times. Take it day by day. Okay.
Valerie: "Yes, I can't always tune into the rally calls, but I always go back and listen to them. So keep them coming." Cool. I'll keep that in mind, babe. Jodi: "Doing Blast Off." Nice. Awesome. "I think I'm coming to the Blueprint." Yes. Let's go. I love that, babe. Cool. Victoria, what's up, babe? Haven't seen your name in a little bit. Missed you.
This is also why I show up. A lot of you have been in it for a while, you show up here, and I recognize your names. That's what's so cool about our community. Even though I haven't met you guys in person, I have a relationship with you through the program and through being on these Q&As. So I fucking love this.
Sydney. Whoa, I like the way you spell that. "Do you recommend any of the fat-burning supplements from Coalition if you want to do a cut phase? If so, which supplements, and when do you recommend taking them: before a workout, anytime, et cetera? I'm currently doing Opti-Greens and Opti-Reds." Perfect, that's great. Honestly, Sydney, no, I'm not going to recommend any fat burner. Your best fat burner is doing the workouts and the cardio on a consistent basis, week after week. I'm not going to recommend any fat burner, to be honest. I have my top favorite supplements inside the app, which covers protein.
It also covers some things you can use while you work out to give you a little more fuel and energy. Opti-Greens and Opti-Reds are fabulous. But you won't really ever find me repping something unless it's one I make. It has to be something my team and I put real thought into, without the shit chemicals or ingredients you can't pronounce on the label. You're not going to find me recommending a fat burner. But that may be a hint about what may be coming down the road.
All right, Jodi: "Got it. I'll go through Transform and learn." Cool. Victoria: "Love you, Nikkiey. Sometimes I tune in just to feel your energy. Keep pushing us, coach." You got it, babe. Absolutely. "I'm glad to be joining you live today. I always watch the replays when I'm not here live. So much great info here." Yes. You guys rock. You're going to make me cry. Danielle: "Your energy is contagious. Love seeing your face." I love seeing you guys show up here. You guys rock my world.
Oh, all right. Jodi: "I've worked with a ton of online programs and coaching, and I've never seen anything like this. You are amazing, Nikkiey." You guys, stop. I'm going to start crying. You guys are the reason I do this. You're the reason I wake up every day, the reason I film hours of content, the reason I made this program. I do it all for you, to bring you the truth so you know exactly what you need to do, get rid of the bullshit that's out there, and just do it. So I appreciate you guys showing up.
We appreciate you guys so much, and you rock. Kimberly: "I was originally going to ask about plateaus tonight, because I feel like I've hit a plateau, and I just hit month three. But I woke up today and decided I'm going to crush my workout and increase my reps. Sometimes my mind needs a reboot. So to everyone out there, trust the process, reboot your mind every once in a while, and make sure you're in the right mindset. It is literally everything. I love this program. Thank you, Nikkiey." Guys, ah, thank you. You're the best. And I love WarriorBabe so much. You're going to make me stay up all night to keep making this program better and better.
We're actively doing that right now, but now I want to do it even more. I fucking love you guys. You all rock. Again, I appreciate you and I appreciate this, because seeing that kind of feedback lights me up. Our community is amazing. You guys are amazing. The support is amazing. I'm speechless. I appreciate every single one of you. All right. Anybody else have any questions?
I'll be here for a couple more minutes to hang out and answer anything. Any clarification, any way I can help, any support, any tough love, I'm here, and I'll answer any questions you have for the next couple of minutes. I have the Blueprint Q&A at 7 p.m. That's another thing with the Blueprint: you can do little check-ins before I hop on the Q&A calls. We go on those calls for two hours, because I do my best to talk to everybody and make sure you all know what direction to go in next.
I have my VIP call later on, and VIP spots are open. With VIP you work directly one-on-one with a coach. So for anybody thinking about it, we have VIP spots open. Just go to warriorbabe.com/VIP to apply. It would be fire to bring you all the way up to one-on-one coaching. It's not with me, but with a team of expert coaches I've handpicked, and they are fire and amazing. They do all the work for you. So that's another thing to think about.
Jodi: "I have a ton of questions, but I should learn first so I can ask educated questions." You got it, babe. That's something I say all the time: don't ask questions that the app can answer for you. Like, I'll send you right there and tell you to go to that portion so you can learn and soak it all in. Then come back, and if something doesn't make sense, use these Q&As for any clarification you need.
Beth: "It would be so helpful to see as many home workouts as possible without gym equipment. I know there are only so many things you can think of, but all the home workouts without machines are really appreciated." Yeah, absolutely. Also, Beth, we will always try to make our at-home workout section better and better each month.
Because of the whole COVID situation, I created six-week at-home workout programs: bodyweight, dumbbell and band. Whatever equipment you have access to at home, there are specific programs on our WarriorBabe website. You can choose the program that best suits you and the equipment you have. We'll always do our best to make the at-home workout programs better.
We filmed a lot of exercises last week. I don't know if you caught that on my IG story, but there's a lot of new stuff coming your way, and another program too. Oh boy. You guys know I'm terrible with secrets. Terrible. All right. But anyway, I appreciate you guys. I love you all. Thank you for your feedback, because it helps me know we're going in the right direction. Our community is on fire. Like I shared at the beginning of this Q&A, my team showed me the numbers from our community.
Our numbers are through the roof: the engagement, the likes, the comments, everything. So keep it up. I appreciate you guys. I'll catch you on our rally call at 6 PM on Sunday. Be there, and if you can't make it, catch the replay. I'll see you next week for our Q&A at the same time, Wednesday, 6 PM Eastern. All right, babes, keep up the good work. Bye.
