In this video

If you start every January strong and fade by week three, this rally call is for you. Nikkiey Stott shares the story of a WarriorBabe member who dropped from 189 to 166 pounds and from a size 16 to a size 10 since September. She credits one thing: consistency, built on meal prepping and planning ahead.

Nikkiey explains why having your meals planned and prepped frees up time and mental energy for your kids, your partner and your work. She also explains why tracking your food as the day goes leads to missed macros and end-of-day macro hoarding, and why logging the night before takes only five to ten minutes once you get the hang of it.

She finishes with her beliefs, actions, results, feedback cycle and a direct question for the week ahead: will you keep yo-yoing between good weekdays and off-track weekends, or will you plan, prep and show up consistently? Her challenge is to do one thing right after watching that sets your week up.

Key takeaways

  • Go through the Blast Off emails, even if you are a veteran member: write down your goals, write down your why, and commit to them so you keep going when results stall.
  • Meal prep and plan your meals ahead so all you have to do is take your food out and eat it, which frees up time and mental energy for the rest of your life.
  • Stop tracking your food as the day goes; plan and log your meals the night before so you are not scrambling to hit your macros or saving them all for the end of the day.
  • Logging ahead takes five to ten minutes and gets faster with practice, especially if you save meals and copy your day forward in MyFitnessPal.
  • Look back at last week, find what tripped you up or what you did not plan, and choose one thing to plan or prep this week.
  • Consistency means hitting your macros every day, not being great Monday through Friday and falling off on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Intercept the beliefs, actions, results, feedback cycle at the belief stage: believe you can meal prep and be consistent, and your actions, results and feedback will follow.
  • You can control what you can control, and your meals are one of those things, so do one thing right away that sets up your week.

Questions answered

Why is meal prep so important for weight loss consistency?

Nikkiey explains that when your meals are planned and prepped, you remove daily decisions about what to eat and gain back time to focus on your family and work. The member she featured credited meal prepping and planning ahead for her consistency and results.

Should I track my food as I go or plan it the night before?

Nikkiey says to stop tracking as the day goes, because you will miss your macros and end up scrambling or macro hoarding at the end of the day. Instead, take five to ten minutes to plan and log your meals the night before.

What is macro hoarding?

Nikkiey describes macro hoarding as saving all your macros for the end of the day, which tends to happen when you track your food as you go instead of planning ahead.

How can I make logging my meals faster?

Nikkiey says it gets easier and faster the more you do it daily, and she can log all her meals in about five minutes. Saving meals and copying your entire day into the next day in MyFitnessPal helps.

What should I do if I already fell off track in the first week of the new year?

Nikkiey says it is okay and you can get right back into gear. Look at what tripped you up last week, pick one thing you can plan or prep this week, and do something right away to start your week strong.

Nikkiey: Hey, what's up, WarriorBabes? Nikkiey here, and welcome, welcome, welcome to our Sunday WarriorBabe Revolution rally call. Super excited to be here with you guys. I just got done with my Blueprint Q&A, and let me tell you, it was a freaking great call. What came at the close of that call was exactly what I needed to hear to get you guys amped up for the week ahead, get you some fire motivation and light some tough love fire under your ass. So that's what this call is going to bring you. We'll get started in just a few minutes.

So if you went strong the first week of the new year, you're going to love this rally call. Or if you're somebody who went through the first week of the new year and has already fallen off, this is really going to help you too. Because let me tell you, it's okay, and you can get right back into gear. All right? So go into the Facebook group and let the other WarriorBabes know that this call is getting started. They don't want to miss out on it. Go comment and let them know, okay? I can see everybody joining now. Good, good.

So before we dive into today's topic, I want to give a huge, huge welcome to all the new WarriorBabes who joined us in the past week. You are a part of a community that is helping thousands of women become stronger, more confident versions of themselves. And WarriorBabe is where strong is the new sexy. That just dropped on the Blueprint Q&A, and one babe was like, I feel like a fucking goddess. So remember that, guys. WarriorBabe is where strong is the new sexy.

If you're new to WarriorBabe, we do these calls every single Sunday at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. So make sure you mark your calendars and set your alarms. Literally, you don't want to miss out on this call. You want to immerse yourself in everything WarriorBabe. Eliminate everything you've ever tried before and come here. Trust me now, believe me later. Once you dive into the tools and resources provided and you start getting the results, you'll believe me later. Okay?

So really quick before we dive into today's topic: whether you have or haven't, go back through the Blast Off emails. If you're new, take the Blast Off emails to heart. They are going to help you so much getting started on your journey and help you really establish what you're here to accomplish. Within the first couple of days, you're going to write down your goals. You're going to write down your why, why you want to accomplish those goals. And you're going to commit yourself to those goals.

And guys, if you don't do that, if you just ignore my emails or you already have ignored my emails, let me tell you, you're going to be super excited to start, and you're going to be a terrible freaking finisher. You're going to be in it for two weeks, three weeks, and then if results stall or results aren't showing, you're going to give up. These emails are so, so important for grounding yourself in what you want to accomplish here in WarriorBabe.

Having a goal is what drives you to take action. It's what drives you to get up. It's what drives you to get through the resistance of, oh, my results aren't showing. It's okay. I have this goal, and even though this isn't happening, I'm still going to show up for myself. So take the time. The babes shared with me on the last Blueprint call that they took the time to go through the Blast Off emails again, and it seriously helped them reframe their mind on what they're here to accomplish. So make sure you do that. Do not ignore it. I'm serious. Any veteran WarriorBabe, take the time to go back through them again if you feel like you're stuck right now. It's going to help you tremendously.

Last thing before we dive into today's topic. If you're new to our community, please, please take the time to go through the material provided to you inside the application and inside the Blast Off emails. Take your time to immerse yourself, like I said. And don't be the person who asks questions that can be answered inside the application, inside the material, okay? If you do ask inside the Facebook group, the babes, myself and Kate are just going to tell you to go to that section inside the app so that you can learn it for yourself.

If the answer can't be found inside the application, you can swipe left on the home screen of the app and go to the Need Help section. That's our frequently asked questions resource page. It's a bunch of articles, a database we put together to answer any questions you have. And if you can't find the answer inside the app or inside the frequently asked questions resource page, then go to the Facebook group, and our babes will be there in a hot second to answer any questions you have. All right, babes, so remember that.

Okay, let's dive into our call for today. I'm super, super excited to talk about this topic with you. I'm sure I've talked about it on previous calls, but I think this one is really going to hit home, and I think it's a really good one for the beginning of a new year.

So the Blueprint call ended with one of the babes sharing her success from September till now, and the major reason she was having so much success is that she was staying consistent. So how many of you guys, like I said before, are really good starters but terrible finishers? How many of you get in your own way when it comes to accomplishing your goals? How many of you don't plan ahead? How many of you don't meal prep? You pick up my gist here. How many of you have a really hard time staying consistent? I know for me, if I'm not consistent, everything falls off track. Everything in my life falls off track. If I'm not consistent, everything goes wrong.

So let me share with you what this babe shared with us on the last Q&A. She has dropped from 189 to 166 since September. She's dropped six pant sizes. She was a 16, and now she's a size 10 in pants. And she said the one thing she credits her success to is consistency, is meal prepping, is planning ahead.

She said it's an absolute game changer that she's able to plan all of her meals and prep all of her meals. This is verbatim what she said: all of us have such busy fucking lives going on. Everybody is busy. Everybody has other shit to worry about. But she said, if I can get myself in check with my meals and my workouts and that shit's already planned, then I have more time to think about what my kids need, what my husband needs, what my coworkers need, what work needs.

If you can get your meals planned and prepped, guys, that eliminates so much time out of your day, so much thought out of your day, and you're able to gain back time to give somewhere else in your life. If that doesn't hit home, I don't know how else to say it better.

This is the way I think about it, because it hit home when she shared this with me. When I first started my journey, I literally meal prepped everything, and all my meals were planned for the next day. All I had to do was literally take my food out and eat it. And I realized that my efficiency in everything else in my life was getting so much stronger and so much better. Not to mention, because of my consistency with that, I brought that consistency into my work. I brought that consistency into my relationships. I brought that consistency into everything. Everything else in my life was starting to be consistent.

Before that, I was a non-consistent human being. I would just be on the fly, on the go, all the freaking time. That caused more stress in my life when I wasn't consistent. When I'm able to bring consistency into my meals and my planning, that cuts out the, hey, what am I going to have for lunch today? What am I going to have for dinner? That is a thought process. That is your brain using and burning energy trying to figure out what you're going to eat for lunch. And then 30 minutes go by and you still haven't decided what you're going to eat for lunch, right?

Some of you are the ones who look to your husband to decide what to eat. I used to be that person, but now I'm just like, hey, no, I want this. This is what we're going to have. Or, I already have this prepped and planned, let me just go take out my food.

Let me tell you, it may not seem normal to somebody sitting next to you who isn't on the same journey as you. Those people may look at you and be like, why are you doing this? But remember, you're doing it because you have a goal in mind for yourself, and that goal requires consistency. That goal requires you to eat differently than a lot of people out there, because you look at the person next to you and they don't have the body that you want, right? You're working and striving toward something that not a lot of people can do. But the one driving factor that's going to get you to the results you want with your body is consistency, hands down.

Let me tell you, on the Blueprint call last week, one of the babes came to me and was like, I'm doing this, I'm doing that, I'm doing this, I'm doing that. And she's four months into the fucking program and she's still trying to get results. She's all over the board, no consistency whatsoever. None. Then I talk to somebody who's been in this for the exact same amount of time, and she's dropped six pant sizes, 20 pounds, and feels so much better.

So which one are you going to be today? Moving into this next week, which one are you going to be? Are you going to be the person who continues to yo-yo up and down? You hit your macros one day, don't hit them the next day, hit them the next day, don't hit them the next day. Monday through Friday you're really fucking good at your macros, and Saturday and Sunday you fall off. Are you going to be that person who's going to be struggling for the next six months of this new year?

Or are you going to be the person who gets off this call right now, if you haven't already, and meal preps their food for this coming week, plans their macros, sits down, puts it all inside MyFitnessPal, then takes 10 minutes to put it all in Tupperware and prep for tomorrow? Because that person is going to start feeling a hell of a lot better and getting results within two weeks. Guaranteed. I know everybody's body is different, but I can tell you that even if it's not body results, you're going to be feeling a hell of a lot better mentally. And once you pick up on that consistency, it's going to transfer into every other aspect of your life.

Like I said, we're all busy. We all have shit going on. This is one thing that you can control. She said this on the last call: you have to control what you can control, and you can control your meals. You can say no. You can prep. You can plan. That's on you guys, right?

I've said this a million times. This is my mantra. You all come to WarriorBabe with a goal in mind for yourself, a goal you want to accomplish. I give you the tools. I give you the resources. I give you everything that's going to help you accomplish those goals. But on these rally calls, it's my duty to call you out if you're not taking action toward those goals. If you're taking action that isn't in alignment with your goals, it's my duty to call you out on it. And I'm doing that right now.

I'm letting you know point blank: which person are you going to choose to be? The non-consistent person or the consistent person? The person who's good Monday through Friday, hits their macros, then falls off? Or the really good starter for the first two or three weeks and then a terrible finisher for the rest of the year? Because that person is going to be struggling. Or are you going to be the consistent person? I want at least 95% of my community to be consistent, because, you know what, guys, I put in consistency for myself, and I expect you to do it as well, no matter what you have going on in life. I know we all have stress going on, but let me tell you, you're going to feel a hell of a lot better if you get this one thing nailed down.

So think about last week. What tripped you up? What got in your way? What did you not plan? And what can you do this week that's going to get you planning something, put you ahead of it, or get you to be more consistent? What's that one thing? Is it meal prepping? Is it just sitting down and logging your meals the night before?

That's another thing. If you are somebody who tracks your meals as the day goes, knock that shit off. Because I can guarantee you that you're not going to hit your macros. One macro is going to be higher, another is going to be lower, you're going to be scrambling to figure it out, and then you're going to be macro hoarding. And let me tell you, macro hoarding is going to be the next Netflix documentary. Macro hoarding is when you save all your macros for the end of the day. So if you track throughout the day, stop.

Set yourself up with five, ten minutes, guys. Even if it takes a little longer at first, the more you do it on a daily basis, the easier and faster you're going to get at it. I can sit in MyFitnessPal for five minutes and get all of my meals logged. Plus you can save meals. You can copy your entire day into the next day. No fucking excuses. You need to get out of your own way and show up for yourselves better, because that's what's going to get you the results.

Remember what I say: beliefs, actions, results, feedback. If you believe this shit's too hard, if you're making up excuses, if you tell yourself you're too busy, guess what? Your actions are going to be non-existent. Your actions are going to be, oh, I'm not going to do this, I don't have time to do this. And then your results are going to be non-existent. Months later you're still going to be struggling to get the results you probably would have gotten three weeks in if you had shown up and been more consistent. And then you're going to get feedback, and the feedback is, oh well, this isn't working. Beliefs non-existent, actions non-existent, results non-existent.

If you intercept at the belief stage, though, and create new beliefs about yourself, new beliefs like, I can do this, I'm going to meal prep, I'm going to be consistent, I'm going to show up for myself differently this week, guess what? Your actions are going to be different. You're going to make time. You're going to schedule it. You're going to prepare. You're going to plan. Then your results are going to be different. And then your feedback is, hey, this is actually working. I need to keep doing this. I need to keep going.

So I'll leave you on this note. Which one are you going to be? Are you going to be the person who continues to be non-existent and is still struggling to get results six months later? Or are you going to show up for yourself, be consistent this week, plan ahead, meal prep and take the time? I'm going to say it again, because Sterling said it so well: it gives you more time back to worry about other things in your life if you can get the meal prepping and the workouts down for yourself. Planning is key. Consistency is key. Once you establish that, consistency is going to transfer into everything else in your life.

All right, babes, take that to heart. I provide you this tough love because I know everybody needs it, and you want it, because sometimes you've got to get the fuck out of your own way, and I'm here to help you do that. Consistency is the name of the game.

Let me know how you enjoyed this rally call by leaving a comment inside the Facebook group, and start your week off strong. Do something right now, getting off this call, that's going to get you into a good groove this week. All right, babes, love you all. I'll catch you on our Q&A on Wednesday. Bye, everyone.
