In this video

Nikkiey Stott is a three-time natural physique pro who has never lost a show, but she did not start out with a champion mindset. She describes being an excuse maker who tried everything without results. In this Sunday rally call she breaks down how she built that mindset, and how you can use it with your body and in every role you play: mom, wife, coworker.

Her framework is simple. Champions think big and work in a big-time way. If you keep making excuses or can't find the motivation, Nikkiey's view is that your goals aren't big enough. Champions stay focused and walk the straight line to their goal instead of zigzagging through keto, carb cycling and whatever someone else is doing. And champions are disciplined, because motivation is an emotion that comes and goes.

She closes with two traps to avoid: failing because you never truly let yourself get started, and holding back from success because you're afraid of how your husband or kids will react once your body changes. Treat failure as a learning curve, keep your goals straight ahead, and put in the work.

Key takeaways

  • If you keep making excuses or struggle to feel motivated, Nikkiey says your goals are not big enough, so go back and decide what you really want to accomplish.
  • Treat your fitness as a lifestyle rather than a one-, three- or six-month transformation, and work at it in a big-time way.
  • Stop worrying about whether you saw progress this week or last week; that week-to-week focus is a sign you aren't thinking big.
  • Stay in your lane: walk the straight line to your goal instead of jumping between keto, carb cycling, dropping calories or copying what someone else is doing.
  • Build discipline instead of relying on motivation, because motivation is an emotion that comes and goes and discipline keeps you working out and hitting your macros anyway.
  • Set big goals the way kids do, seeing the vision first without getting stuck on exactly how or why.
  • Expect to fail at points, treat each failure as a learning curve and keep going rather than giving up.
  • Don't hold yourself back out of fear of how your husband or kids will respond once your body changes; keep your eyes on your goals.

Questions answered

What does it mean to think like a champion in fitness?

Nikkiey defines a champion as someone who shows superiority over their life, goals and the way they handle things. It means taking initiative and showing up daily instead of passively wishing, and she breaks it down as thinking big, staying focused and being disciplined.

Why do I keep making excuses and falling off track?

According to Nikkiey, if you're making excuses, falling off track or finding it hard to be motivated, the thing pulling you to take action isn't big enough. She suggests going back and really thinking about what you want to accomplish and setting bigger goals.

Should I rely on motivation or discipline to reach my goals?

Nikkiey says relying on motivation won't work because it's an emotion that comes and goes. She doesn't wake up motivated every day, but she's disciplined because she knows working out and hitting her macros is what gets her to her goal.

Should I try different diets like keto or carb cycling to get results faster?

Nikkiey compares your goal to a straight line right in front of you. Veering left and right into keto, carb cycling, dropping calories or copying someone else is what makes it take years, so she recommends staying focused on one path.

What if I'm afraid of how my family will react when my body changes?

Nikkiey hears many women say they're afraid of how their husband or kids will respond to their success. Her advice is not to worry about that and to keep your goals straight ahead, think big, stay focused and stay disciplined.

You just have to put in the work. That's all you need to do here. All right? You're literally in WarriorBabe, where strong is sexy. You have the tools and resources at your fingertips. Your job is just to put in the work right now. All right? So if you guys are new and this is your first rally call, welcome, guys. So mark your calendars, set your alarms for these rally calls, 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Sundays.

We do the Q&A days at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesdays. Mark your calendars. Set your alarms. Be here. Be here. The more that you immerse yourself in me, my language, my tough love, the community, the more that you're going to get the results that you want to have. When you see other women who are striving on a daily basis, showing up for themselves, that's going to kick your ass into high gear to show up even more. And another thing is, this topic today is going to talk about that. So if you need that kick in the ass, you're in the right place.

If you need women who are on the same journey as you, you're in the right place. So welcome, guys. I'm stoked that you guys are here. All right, really quick, before we get started, if you are new, not only immerse yourself in everything in terms of the coaching calls, but also immerse yourself in the blast-off emails that are getting sent your way for the first 14 days here inside of WarriorBabe. I am literally helping you transition into my teaching, into this lifestyle, so that you can succeed and start off on a strong foot. Joke's on you if you ignore my blast-off emails. They're coming to you for the first 14 days here inside of this program,

and they're transitioning you into this lifestyle, helping you understand your goals. Why are you here? Why do you want to accomplish this thing that you want to accomplish? Why is it? Dig deep. Setting that foundation for yourself, that mindset side of things, is going to carry you through into the appropriate actions that you need to take to reach your goals. So you're going to have to go through my blast-off emails. If not, you're going to be two weeks in going, I'm overwhelmed, I'm too busy, I'm this, I'm that, every fucking excuse in the book, and then you're not going to be getting the results that you want. So set the foundation strong.

Go through the blast-off emails that are coming to you for the first 14 days. They're going to help you with everything that you need to know. In terms of that, though, if you do have questions, take the time to go through the application. Take the time to go through that. Listen to everything that I am sharing with you. If you guys have questions, search there, okay? Don't be the person that chimes into the community and asks questions that can be answered inside the app content. Because us WarriorBabes, we're just going to tell you, go there. Learn it yourself. The things I'm teaching you, it's not just another fucking diet program.

It's not another six weeks to this, or six weeks to I'm going to get screwed and gain all my weight back. All right, this is a lifestyle that I am teaching and skills that I am providing you. So go through the application. There are tons of golden nuggets to help you have a successful journey moving forward. If your questions can't be answered inside the app, then go to the frequently asked questions. Go to the home page on the application. Click Need Help. That will take you to the FAQs, which is an entire platform that my team and I have built with the common questions that we get, and we've answered them for you there.

All right? And then if your questions can't be answered in the app or the FAQs, which is highly unlikely, but if they're not and they're super unique, then chime into the Facebook community. Tag our community manager, Kate. Kate Holley, she's in our community 24-7. Not really that much, but she's checking the community every single day and getting back to any questions that you guys have in regards to your journey and being here in WarriorBabe. She is a tremendous help to you guys along your journey here.

All right? So are you guys ready for today's topic? I am so freaking excited to share this topic, because the topic is think like a champion. You all should have the mental side of things to think like a champion, but it may seem like, well, how do I think like a champion? Right? And the way that I can relate it to me, you guys know I'm a three-time natural physique pro athlete.

I've won all of my shows. I've never lost. But I didn't always have that think-like-a-champion mindset. I developed that along my way. When I first started off, I was just like you guys, no idea what to do. I was trying everything in the books, not getting the results, right? I was in your shoes. So how did I develop that champion mindset along the way? Well, that's what I'm going to share with you guys right now. And I suggest that you guys employ this not only for your journey, but be the champion mom, be the champion coworker, be the champion wife, right?

If you guys take what I'm going to share with you on today's topic and embed it into your daily world, your daily life, you will be on your road to thinking like a champion. You just have to employ what I'm going to share with you today. All right, so champions are born, okay? And champions are made. The definition of a champion is someone who shows superiority. But another definition is someone who is a winner, coming in first place in a competition.

But when I say superiority, it's superiority over your life, superiority over your goals, superiority over the way you handle things, right? You're not just going to be the passive person. I talked about this in previous rally calls. You're not just going to be the passive person that passively wishes and wants. You're going to be the person that takes initiative and takes action on your goals and shows up on a daily basis, right? I talked about this in previous rally calls, and it goes into thinking like a champion now. You've got to think big, right? So when I first started off my journey, once I finally had the answers,

like coming into WarriorBabe, you guys now have the answers. You guys know exactly what you need to do. Once I finally found out the real truth to this and what I actually needed to do, the work came easy. Why? Because I knew exactly what I needed to do and I took action on it. And along my journey, I didn't have these thoughts of, oh, is this going to work? Is this not going to work? Oh, I'm not seeing progress this week. Instead there's the week-to-week progress worry that people get stuck on, like you guys get stuck on: well, this week I didn't see progress, right?

Or two weeks I didn't see progress. Or you fall off and then it's a month before you jump back in. It's because you're not thinking big. Your goals are not fucking big enough. And I've said this multiple times before. If you are making excuses, if you are finding it hard to be motivated, guess what? The thing that's pulling you to take action is not big enough. Your goals are wanting to change your body composition, wanting to be sexier, wanting to be strong, wanting to be fit. Your goals are not big enough. But if you want to think like a champion, if you want to be a champion for yourself

in every aspect of your life, you have to think big. Champions work in a big-time way. The reason why I became a champion, the reason why I won all of my shows, the reason why I have never lost, I'm undefeated, and I've taken pro, is because I worked in a big-time way. Once I knew what I had to do, I had the resources, I put in the work. And I worked damn hard to change my body. I knew that this wasn't going to be a one-month transformation,

a three-month transformation, a six-month transformation. I knew this was my lifestyle. This is what I was going for. This is something that needed to shift every area of my life. And in order to do that, I had to do it in a big-time way. Y'all can't be doing the same mediocre shit that you're doing right now, or the programs that you've done in the past that got you mediocre results. If you want big results, which WarriorBabe is directing you toward, then you've got to act in a big-time way. You've got to think big. And you've got to let go of the things that you've done or tried before

that haven't gotten you the results. And you've got to see what I'm teaching you inside of WarriorBabe. Eat more food. Work out like this. Do less cardio. That's going to get you to your goals. And along the journey, you've got to understand that and be able to think big in terms of the goals that you're trying to reach, and then work in a big-time way. And another thing is that champions are focused. Okay? So there's a really good analogy that I want to share with you guys right now. I was talking to one of my VIP babes a couple weeks ago, and she threw this out there, and I was like, oh my God,

I need to use it when I talk to you. So, me talking to you right now: you are not focused if you are literally veering off of a straight-line path. Think right now that you are standing up, and right in front of you, in a straight fucking line, are your goals. All you need to do is walk that straight line. But so many fucking people go left, go right, go left, go right, go left,

go right, go down this windy-ass road, and it takes them years to get to that goal, when literally it's just staying in your lane, staying focused on the end point. Not this diet, or keto, or carb cycling, or, oh, let's just drop calories, or this person's doing this, I'm going to jump on. No, go down this straight fucking line. It's literally right in front of you. Your goals are right in front of you. WarriorBabe is providing you that straight-line path.

All you need to do is follow it. You need to stay focused. And another thing: champions are disciplined. Okay, you guys have heard me talk about motivation versus discipline. Well, guess what? If you guys are heavily relying on motivation, you're fucked. You're fucked. Because guess what? Motivation is an emotion that comes and goes. I don't wake up motivated every single day. But you know what? I am disciplined, because I know that I need to work out. I know that I need to hit my macros.

I am disciplined because that's what's going to get me to my goal. So regardless of the feelings I'm feeling, regardless of the temptations I have, wanting to have fucking something when I know I'm not supposed to have it, I know how to say no. And that discipline is an action that you guys need to be able to develop if you want to think like a champion. Right? Champions think big. Champions work in a big-time way.

Champions are focused. Champions are disciplined. I started off just like you guys. I had to develop. I had to bring myself into being a champion, have that champion mindset, and these are the actions that I had to employ along the way. I was an excuse maker. I was trying everything until I had the final tools, which you guys have here now, in terms of the diets and the tactics and that kind of stuff. But now you're also learning the mindset side of things. The mindset is what's going to carry you.

If you think like a champion, your mindset is right. That's going to get you to your goals. If you can eliminate the big excuses, if you can stop the squirrel brain, if you can stop relying on motivation, if you can think big and look at your goals straight ahead of you, you will be able to reach them. So like I said earlier, if you're not motivated and you're not excited to go work out and hit your macros, your goals are not fucking big enough.

If you're making excuses, if you're falling off track, your goals are not big enough. So go back and really think about what you want your goals to be. If you haven't even thought about that, you fucking need to think about that. What do you want to do? What do you want to accomplish? We are human beings who strive to go toward something. We need growth. And in order to do that, you have to set big goals. You have to get outside of your comfort zone and set goals. Okay, don't set low goals.

WarriorBabes don't set low goals. I mean, do you ever hear your kids saying that they want to be nothing when they grow up? Think about that. Do you ever hear your kids saying that they want to be nothing when they grow up? They're always like, I want to be an astronaut. They have no idea what that entails. I want to be a teacher. I want to be a pro basketball player. They think big, right? Because their subconscious minds have no idea how or why. They don't need to, and you don't even need to worry about that. You have to think big and see the vision and the goals right in front of you

and eliminate all the whys and the hows. Those kids are full of dreams and plans, and rarely, rarely are they mediocre shit. Right? That's the exact same thing that you should be employing for yourself. You need to think like a champion. All right? Don't fail because you never allowed yourself to get started. How many of you guys have started, failed, and then given up?

You never truly even started. Don't fail because you never allowed yourself to get started. Keep going. You will fail. That will happen. But you need to look at failure as a learning curve and then move forward. And then, don't avoid the success. This is what I hear a lot of women say: that they're so afraid to change their body composition because they don't know what's going to happen after. How is my husband going to respond?

How are my kids going to respond? They're so fearful of what the success will bring, and that the responsibilities might be too much to handle at that point. Don't even worry about that. Just look at your goals straight in front of you. Think big. Stay focused. Be disciplined. Think like a champion. And just focus on getting to your goals. You have the tools and the resources in front of you. This is why I don't talk about a lot of diet and tactics here, nutrition, workouts, blah, blah, blah.

You guys have that. You just need to put in the work. But the mindset is one of the hardest things to break through. And that's why all of our rally calls are so heavily focused on the mental aspects, on the shit that's beneath the iceberg, beneath the water, that nobody even sees. If you can get your mindset right, if you can think like a champion, like I'm sharing with you right now, that's what's going to carry you through to successfully reaching your goals,

and to sustainably reaching your goals and creating long-lasting results. That's why I am where I am right now. Mental shifts. Think like a champion, you guys. All right? So that concludes the rally call that I wanted to share with you guys. I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know inside the Facebook community if you guys enjoyed this rally call. I appreciate the feedback. Let me know what your favorite little clip was that I shared with you, because there are always things where the light bulb goes on in your head when I say something, right?

Or something just gets nailed in. And you guys love sharing that in the community, and I love seeing that. So do that with this rally call. And start off your week strong. I hope that lit some fire underneath your asses. It's a new week. Stay focused. Stay disciplined. And think like a champion. All right, babes. See you. Bye-bye.
